Stephanie & Lucas Winter Wedding

Stephanie & Lucas’s winter wedding at the Decatur Conference Center was the perfect end to my 2019 wedding season. Winter weddings are so beautiful and romantic and Stephanie’s timeless winter bridal look from Elite Bridal made this wedding one to remember!

I met up with Stephanie and Lucas last fall at Allerton Park in Monticello, IL for their engagement session and quickly saw how much Lucas adores sweet Stephanie. Lucas wasn’t sure of an afternoon of taking photos but after about 30 minutes he kept telling me how much fun he was having. He thought this would be boring and stiff but he in reality he loved how much they got to cuddle and kiss and he was really enjoying the experience with me. I had them dancing in the rain, kissing under umbrellas and posing in a green house to stay warm. I couldn’t wait for their wedding day!

When I arrived at the Decatur Conference Center on their wedding day Stephanie and her girls were not quite there yet but she had left all her morning details and flowers in the room for me. Detail shots are always some of my favorites and make for such a beautiful start to the day. Next up was getting Stephanie into her wedding dress and first looks with her dad. What a sweet, sweet moment and you can definitely tell Stephanie is a daddy’s girl.

The ceremony took place at their family cabin that they had tuned into a stunning intimate ceremony location with the help of Elite. Elite brought in up-lighting, drapes, chairs, stages and it made the perfect ambience for an elegant ceremony.

One of my favorite memories of the day was having the entire bridal party out at Stephanie’s family farm for all the photos. The sun was shining, the bridal party was a blast and no one ever complained once about the cold.
