An Indianapolis Museum of Art Wedding

A classic and elegant wedding at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields.

Sophia and Alex were wed at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields and everything about their day was utter perfection, draped in elegance. My bride and groom’s wedding ceremony took place on the grounds of the Lilly House with a reception celebration at the Randolph H. Deer special events pavilion. What I love about this exquisite wedding venue is the level of refinement it brings to discerning couples on their wedding day.

The Lilly House is a historical landmark country estate with a sweeping garden located on its grounds. Added to its rich history is the romantic feeling it exudes. The sweet gentle smell of the garden fills the air combined with the feeling of stepping back in time, just for a moment. It evokes all the senses, creating an unforgettable wedding day experience. If you are in the early stages of planning your wedding and considering the Indianapolis Museum of Art as your chosen venue, the Lilly House is a beautiful location to host your wedding ceremony and portraits.

Sophia was dressed for the day in a chic Milla Nova bridal gown. She was every bit the beautiful bride. It’s almost as if the silhouette of this gown was custom-tailored, just for her. With off-the-shoulder sleeves, Sophia’s gown had an added level of romance in a way that was both chic and elegant. My sweet bride was truly a vision! Conversely, Alex was every bit as chic, dressed in a dapper black suit and tie, creating a juxtaposed, classic, black-and-white wedding. Heaps of bountiful crisp white florals were crafted into voluminous bouquets for Sophia and her bridesmaids. While a white, open-style, wedding arch enhanced with rich greenery accented the altar of their wedding ceremony.

Sophia and Alex are so tender with each other and the love they share is evident with each smile, each embrace, and every kiss. But the unique thing about their story is how the people in their lives enrich their bond. It was something I had the honor of experiencing on their wedding day. During heartwarming wedding toasts and shared laughs between their friends & family, I was able to see the community of people in Sophia and Alex’s lives. The people who, undoubtedly, shower them with love and support. Their love story is so beautifully written and I am filled with gratitude to be the person who captured it.
