This Regions Tower wedding in Indianapolis was a day filled with exquisite elements including lush and artistic floral design. The wedding ceremony took place on the rooftop terrace at Regions Towers with a reception dinner in the private adjoining event space.

In fact, Regions Tower is one of the only rooftop wedding venues in Indianapolis. The views from the top are transportive, creating an immersive wedding day experience filled with style. The venue offers its couples an all-in-one experience with an outdoor ceremony space on the terrace and a reception dinner indoors. Additionally, dancing and cocktails are held on the rooftop. All in all, allowing your wedding day vision to soar with chic metropolis creativity.

Katherine and Alex’s love story began during college when they both attended Butler University. A chance meeting their freshman year quickly turned into a friendship. Over time, their friendship soared to new heights and a romance soon developed. Knowing he had found his person, Alex laid the groundwork for a surprise proposal. A trip was planned to the seaside in South Carolina with some of their closest friends coming along for the adventure. With the help of their friends, Alex designed a beach proposal, with a photographer waiting in the wings for the exact moment he dropped down on one knee to ask Katherine for her hand in marriage. She happily accepted and they began planning the details of their wedding at Regions Towers.

Their wedding day style was chic and modern. Katherine wore a sleek sheath wedding dress with a keyhole back detail. She paired this with a lace-trimmed cathedral-length veil and a pair of glittering yet understated & elegant bridal mules. Katherine’s veil was an accessory to her overall wedding day look that provided a transition to her throughout the day. Alex was sleek in a black suit with a matching bow tie and wonderfully details cufflinks that completed his attire.

Before their ceremony, Katherine and Alex opted to share a first look on the rooftop of Regions Tower, where their wedding ceremony would later take place. As Katherine walked up the aisle towards Alex for the first time that day, she was positively radiant. Her veil danced in the wind and she was the picture of joy with a vibrant smile; a smile that she and Alex shared when he first laid eyes on his bride. During their first look, Katherine and Alex read personal vows to each other. They divulged their innermost feelings to one another before their official wedding ceremony took place. It was a moment cemented in their story that will forever be remembered from the day they were joined together in marriage. Furthermore, their wedding day solidified the deep extraordinary bond they’ve grown together over the last decade.

When I worked with Katherine and Alex on their wedding portraits, we visited the Indiana War Memorial. This marvelous location commands reverence and curates an unforgettable backdrop for wedding photos. However, the rooftop views at Regions Tower were a remarkable opportunity to work on a second set of wedding day portraits to cultivate a diverse variety of photos.
