A beautifully simplistic Laurel Hall wedding with a focus on friends, family, and the love that Hope and Eddie share. Located in Indianapolis, Laurel Hall is a wedding venue known for elegance and grandeur. Originally built in 1916 by a family of nobility, Laurel Hall residers over six acres of land with space to host a wedding of up to 200 guests. The picturesque landscape of Laurel Hall sets the stage for an unforgettable wedding day.

Having met in college, Eddie and Hope shared mutual friends during their time in Pittsburgh. College basketball games laid the groundwork for the couple to exchange conversations, turning their friendship into a beautifully deep connection. During a trip to Albuquerque, the couple hiked the Sandia Mountains, there, high above the world on the very peak, Eddie asked for Hope’s hand in marriage. With a yes from Hope, the couple set out to plan a wedding focused on celebrating with their closest friends and family in attendance.

Selecting Laurel Hill as their wedding venue, Hope and Eddie began to envision what their wedding day would look like. Pops of bold vibrant colors in their decor, and breakout moments that are now lifelong memories. Hope was a glowing bride, exuding cheer and a joyful heart. With her sheath wedding dress buttoned and a fingertip veil fastened to her chignon, she met her father in the solarium for a father-daughter first look. After tapping him on the shoulder, Hope’s father positively melted at the sight of his daughter on her wedding day.

After the shared moment with her father, Hope descended the grand stone staircase at Laurel Hall to meet her groom. Eddie, overcome with joy couldn’t help but shed a few happy tears as he laid eyes on his wife-to-be. The moment turned into a tender embrace before Hope and Eddie shared private vows with each other. Away from their guests and the pomp and circumstance, the couple each shared what they most cherished about their love. A beautifully culitaved moment, that focused in on the most important aspect of their day. Two souls coming together in marriage.

Hope and Eddie’s formal wedding ceremony took place in the third-floor chapel of Laurel Hall. Here, in front of their friends and family, they were officially announced husband and wife. As their celebration loomed, Hope had a surprise in store for her husband. Having been a lifelong dancer, she worked together with friends to choreograph a surprise dance for Eddie at their reception. For the number, Hope changed into a short and flirty tulle party dress and her dancing shoes. With Eddie seated front and center on the dance floor, the ladies performed a wonderful dance for all in attendance. With Hope in her reception dress, I worked on a few more portraits with my bride and groom on the stone patio of Laurel Hall. To see each and every moment, scroll through the photos below.
